The problem
What it solves for a business
For: Brand, marketing and support teams, and agencies that look after several brands.
- People talk about us in news, forums, podcasts and app reviews, and we find out too late.
- Listening tools start around $199 a month and cap how many mentions we can see.
- Mentions, reviews and support emails sit in different tools, so nobody owns the reply.
How it works
BrandMentionWatch, step by step
- 01
Add your brand
Enter brand keywords, words to exclude, competitors, RSS feeds and podcast feeds during onboarding.
- 02
Collect
It fetches mentions every 15 minutes, drops noise with a relevance score and removes duplicates.
- 03
Score
Each mention gets sentiment, topics and an influence score, rolled up into share of voice and net sentiment.
- 04
Act
Mentions, app reviews and support emails land in one inbox with priority, SLA and assignment, and AI drafts the reply.
- 05
Get alerted
Spikes, negative surges, keywords and big-influencer posts trigger alerts in the app or to your Slack or Teams webhook.
- 06
Learn
Ask questions about your mentions in plain English, see complaint clusters turned into tickets, and read the weekly memo.

Why switch
Advantages over Brand24
No mention cap to worry about
The product is free with fair use up to 250,000 mentions a month. Reviews and support tickets are never dropped, even over the cap.
Listening, reviews and inbox in one place
Brand24 and Mention lack an inbox with SLAs; review tools lack listening. This puts both in one app.
Answers with proof
Ask your mentions answers only with citations to real mentions, and code rejects answers that cite nothing or cite the wrong items.
Less noise
A relevance score and exclude keywords target the most common Brand24 complaint in the research: irrelevant mentions.

Use cases
How teams use BrandMentionWatch
App team watching reviews
A mobile app team sees App Store reviews next to news and forum mentions, and assigns each negative review to an agent with an AI draft reply.
Early crisis warning
A brand manager gets a Slack alert when negative mentions spike and opens the cluster that explains why.
Agency monthly report
An agency tracks several client brands and sends each a white-label PDF report.
Product feedback loop
A product lead asks 'why are payments failing?' and turns the cited complaint cluster into a ticket.
Under the hood
Where AI is used, and where it is not
The model
Qwen on Surge's own GPU server first for sentiment refinement, reply drafts, clusters, memos and Ask; Claude as fallback on error, timeout or a failed guard. A built-in lexicon scores sentiment without AI.
Rules and code
Code runs the relevance score, dedupe, lexicon sentiment, influence score, share of voice, SLA timers, alert thresholds, fair-use metering and the citation guard that rejects uncited or foreign mention ids; AI jobs are skipped between 02:00 and 06:00 IST.
People in the loop
Agents review and send every reply; AI drafts are never sent on their own. Users decide which clusters become tickets.
