OrderDak
Purchase orders in any format, posted to your ERP.
An AI order desk for distributors and manufacturers. It reads purchase orders from PDFs, Excel sheets, emails and photos, matches them to your own customers and items, checks price, credit, stock and GST, and posts clean orders to Tally.

Who it is for
The buyer and the problem
Order-desk teams and owners at Indian distributors and manufacturers running Tally Prime, Zoho, Busy, Marg or SAP Business One.
- Orders arrive as WhatsApp photos, PDFs, emails and Excel sheets, and staff retype every line into the ERP.
- Price, credit and stock are checked from memory, so mistakes reach the invoice.
- Orders get lost in chats and there is no record of who changed what.
How it works
OrderDak, step by step
- 01
Capture
Upload a file or forward the buyer's email to your own OrderDak address.
- 02
Read
AI turns the order into structured lines. Printed photos and scans are read with OCR.
- 03
Match
Code matches the buyer and every item to your own masters, and learns each customer's names for your items.
- 04
Check
Rules check price, credit, stock, pack size, duplicate PO numbers, GSTIN and the CGST/SGST or IGST split.
- 05
Post
Clean orders post to Tally through a small bridge on your PC; anything doubtful waits in a review queue with one-click fixes.
- 06
Confirm
The buyer gets a confirmation email and every step is written to a tamper-evident audit log.

Under the hood
Where AI is used, and where it is not
The model
Open-source Qwen model on Surge's in-house AI server. A foundation model is used only if it is switched on deliberately.
Rules and code
Matching, price, credit, stock and GST checks and posting are plain code. Every extracted line, quantity, GSTIN and PO number must appear in the source document.
People in the loop
Orders in other languages and anything read by OCR always go to a person for review.
Use cases
How businesses use OrderDak
WhatsApp photo to sales order
A distributor receives a photo of a printed PO; it becomes a checked Tally sales order without retyping.
Emailed Excel POs
A regular buyer's Excel PO is forwarded to OrderDak and, if every check passes, posts on its own.
Catching costly errors
A duplicate PO number or an order over the customer's credit limit is held for review instead of being invoiced.
No ERP yet
A smaller trader uses OrderDak to turn mixed-format orders into clean Excel sheets.
What it shows about Surge
The capability behind the product
Document AI with grounding
Extraction from messy real-world documents, with every value checked against the source.
ERP integration
Posting into Tally through a local bridge, the same pattern we use for client ERPs.
Rules engine plus AI
The model reads; deterministic code decides. Numbers and tax are never left to the model.
