Walkthrough

See SocialPostScheduler in action

A narrated tour of SocialPostScheduler: the problem it solves and how a team uses it, screen by screen.

The problem

What it solves for a business

For: Small businesses, social media managers and agencies that post to several networks for one or more brands.

  • Paying per channel adds up fast once we manage a few brands on several networks.
  • Coming up with a month of posts for every network takes days.
  • Clients want to approve posts, but they won't create an account just to click Approve.

How it works

SocialPostScheduler, step by step

  1. 01

    Set up a workspace

Create a workspace per brand or client and invite your team with roles.

  2. 02

    Teach your voice

Paste 3 to 20 sample posts and it builds a tone and vocabulary profile used in every AI call.

  3. 03

    Plan the month

Write one brief and the AI month planner puts a draft per day per network on the calendar, with festival dates included.

  4. 04

    Edit and approve

Tailor each network's version, then send posts through multi-step approvals, including a client link that needs no login.

  5. 05

    Schedule

Drop posts into queue slots or the calendar; the best time is learned per channel from your own history.

  6. 06

    Track

See totals, trends, best hours and top posts, and export a CSV or a print-to-PDF client report.

Why switch

Advantages over Buffer

No per-channel bill

The scheduler is free. Only paid add-ons, such as the Claude fallback or an outside image provider, are charged, at exactly what they cost us.

A month of drafts from one brief

The AI month planner writes a draft per day per network in your brand voice and puts them on the calendar.

Agency features for everyone

Approvals, client links and white-label are unlocked on the free plan while paid plans are off.

Built for automation

RSS-to-drafts, evergreen recycling, bulk CSV, a REST API, signed webhooks and an MCP server for AI agents.

Features

What it does today

  • AI month planner: one brief becomes a month of drafts on the calendar
  • Brand voice profile from 3 to 20 sample posts, plus one-click rewrites per network
  • Composer with per-network text, live character limits, threads, first comment, saved hashtag groups and signatures
  • Calendar (month/week, drag to reschedule) with an Indian festival overlay, queue slots and learned best time
  • Ideas board, RSS/Atom feeds that turn new articles into drafts, evergreen re-queueing and bulk CSV import (up to 1,000 rows)
  • Multi-step approvals with roles and a client approval link that needs no login
  • Performance score (0-100) with top fixes while you write, short links with UTM tags and a link-in-bio page
  • Public REST API with OpenAPI, signed outgoing webhooks, MCP server and white-label settings

Use cases

How teams use SocialPostScheduler

Festival month for a local shop

A sweet shop writes one Diwali brief and gets a month of drafts for Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp on the calendar.

Agency with client sign-off

An agency sends each client a no-login link to approve next week's posts before they are scheduled.

Blog to social

A company connects its blog feed so each new article becomes a draft post in the queue.

Bulk campaign

A marketer uploads a CSV of 200 posts, checks the dry run, and schedules them in one go.

Under the hood

Where AI is used, and where it is not

The model

Qwen3.8-27B on Surge's own GPU server first; Claude Sonnet 5.5 as fallback (Claude Opus 5.5 for month plans); offline templates if both fail. Every call is logged with provider, tokens and cost.

Rules and code

Code checks every AI answer (JSON shape, length, script) before use, enforces each network's character limits, picks best times from your own post history, runs retries (1/5/15 min), token refresh and the stuck-publish sweeper, and keeps evergreen copies to at most 3.

People in the loop

Users edit every draft; contributors' posts go through approval steps; clients approve through a link; nothing is published unless a person schedules it or presses Publish now.
