Use case

Order entry for distributors: WhatsApp, PDF and Excel orders into Tally

OrderDak is Surge's order desk for Indian distributors and manufacturers. It reads purchase orders from PDFs, Excel sheets, emails and photos, matches them to your own customers and items, checks price, credit, stock and GST in code, and posts clean orders to Tally through a small bridge on your PC. It is free for your first 3 months, then you pay only for what you use, at our cost.

The problem

What gets in the way

  • Orders arrive as WhatsApp photos, PDFs, emails and Excel sheets, and staff retype every line into Tally.
  • Price, credit and stock are checked from memory, so mistakes reach the invoice.
  • Orders get lost in chats and nobody knows who changed what.

Step by step

How to do it

  1. 1

    Connect Tally

Install the small OrderDak bridge on the PC that runs Tally. It syncs your items and customers every 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Send in orders

Upload a file or forward the buyer's email to your own OrderDak address.

  3. 3

    Let it read and match

AI turns the order into lines; code matches the buyer and each item to your masters and learns each customer's names for your items.

  4. 4

    Check

Rules check price, credit, stock, pack size, duplicate PO numbers, GSTIN and the CGST/SGST or IGST split.

  5. 5

    Post or review

Clean orders post to Tally. Anything doubtful waits in a review queue with one-click fixes.

Be sure

When Surge Software is not the right tool

OrderDak's WhatsApp channel is not connected yet — today you upload the photo or forward the email. Busy and Marg exports are in beta. If you need a full ERP rather than order entry, OrderDak is not that.

FAQ

Questions

Do orders post to Tally on their own?

Only when every check passes. Orders in other languages and anything read from a photo always go to a person for review.

Can I upload party-wise rates?

Yes. Upload a CSV of party-wise rates in onboarding or Settings; the price check then uses each customer's own rate.

What about collecting payments?

Switch on the Collections module (formerly Tagaada) for payment reminders on the same sign-in.
